Mr Mylly brings decades of top-level maritime leadership, deep insight into the Finnish port sector, and an exceptionally strong international network. His senior roles at the Finnish Ports Association, the Finnish Maritime Administration, and the European Maritime Safety Agency give him a uniquely comprehensive perspective on port operations, maritime safety, regulation, and strategic development. He has also recently advised on offshore wind, hydrogen projects, and green maritime infrastructure.
“I am excited to join Seacap at such a pivotal moment for the Finnish port sector,” says Mr Mylly. “With substantial investments ahead, Seacap’s combination of expertise and a strong capital base creates real momentum. I look forward to contributing my local insight and international experience to help both Finnish, Baltic and Polish ports realise their green ambitions.”
“We warmly welcome Mr Mylly to the Seacap team,” says Styrk Bekkenes, one of Seacap’s founding partners. “His combination of regulatory expertise, sustainability insight, and practical port experience strengthens our mission in Finland and across the entire Baltic Sea region.”
Finland is a strategically important market for Seacap, with around 50 commercial ports and a heavy reliance on maritime trade. Many Finnish harbours have already invested in shore power and renewable energy, yet significant modernisations remain necessary.
“With Mr Mylly onboard, we are now even better prepared to support these ports as they plan, finance, and implement the next phase of developments across the full range of green port infrastructure – from energy hubs and logistics facilities to emergency berths and zero-emission solutions,” says Bekkenes.
